Neck-through design for monumental sustain
The Jackson Pro Soloist SL2 owes its great tone and sustain to something that can't actually be seen by the casual viewer: a neck-through-body design. The 1-piece through-body maple neck doesn't just join the body — it's actually part of the body. This configuration contributes to sustain in a big way since the entire guitar is structurally integrated with the pickups, bridge, and tailpiece affixed to the neck. This provides maximum vibrational transfer. In addition, an ebony fingerboard with a 12"–16" compound-radius provides great playability and feel, whether chording or playing lead. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action, high-speed runs with monumental string bends. In other words, it's effortless to switch between rhythm and lead playing on the Pro Soloist SL2.
Genuine Floyd Rose tremolo for insane dive-bombing
In typical Jackson fashion, this incredible guitar was built with nothing but quality hardware onboard. That's why they gave the Pro Soloist SL2 solidbody a Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo tailpiece. The recessed Floyd Rose gives you the real feel of an original Floyd, adding to the Pro Soloist SL2's amazingly responsive feel.
