From Epiphone:
Epiphone has answered the requests of their fans with a reissue of the Grabber bass! This reissue has been updated for contemporary performance while retaining the same charm that stunned the world back in 1973. Features include an earth-shattering humbucking pickup, a "C"-shaped maple neck, a classic double-cutaway alder body, and an original Grabber V headstock. The Grabber has historically been seen in the hands of Gene Simmons, Mike Dirnt, Lou Barlow, Krist Novoselic, and other notable artists. Bassists have been asking for a reissue of this unique bass for years, and Epiphone has delivered. Vintage looks and modern performance — there’s much to enjoy with the Grabber Bass from Epiphone .One of the main differences between the Grabber reissue and the original model is in the pickup. The previous sliding pickup design has been replaced by an Epiphone Pro Bass Ceramic humbucker that provides earthquaking lows and a punchy midrange. Bassists can fine-tune their tone using the Volume and Tone knobs. As a studio axe or a gigging workhorse, the Epiphone Grabber is ready to perform with sound updated for the modern age.Like the original Grabber from 1973, this Grabber bass is fun to play and feels comfortable whether you’re fretting fast grooves or slapping funky lines. Built with an alder body and a double cutaway, the classic Grabber shape gives you access to all 20 frets up the maple fingerboard. You’ll feel comfortable with quick runs up and down the length of the 3-piece antiquated maple "C"-shaped neck. Cosmetic details that contribute to its eye-catching vintage appearance include the original Grabber V headstock and clover tuners. Stylish and sonically stunning, the Epiphone Grabber is a great choice for bassists of any skill level.
